Dénia vivió el pasado sábado, 9 de septiembre, uno de los momentos más grandes del año: la presentación de las falleras mayores de la ciudad. Melani Ivars Rojas y Carla Vinaroz Giménez, junto a sus cortes de honor, se enfrentaron a las inclemencias meteorológicas con una sonrisa y disfrutaron de una noche irrepetible e inolvidable.
A las 19:15 horas comenzó la recepción de los invitados en el Parque de Les Bassetes, en Les Marines. Allí, las máximas representantes de las fallas dianenses fueron recibidas por el alcalde, Vicent Grimalt; el concejal de fiestas, Óscar Mengual; y el presidente de la Junta Local Fallera, José Vicente Benavente.
A continuación saludaron a las protagonistas de la noche los invitados al acto: las falleras mayores de 2017, Inés Alacreu y Mar Cabrera; los cargos de las once comisiones falleras de la ciudad; las entidades festeras de otras poblaciones, y los representantes de las casas que han vestido a las falleras mayores de Dénia.
Lamentablemente la lluvia no dio tregua, y minutos antes del comienzo de la presentación la Junta Local Fallera se vio obligada a modificar los planes y trasladar el acto al Centro Social. Finalmente, a las 23:00 horas pudo dar comienzo el acto de presentación, al que asistieron más de 400 personas.
Un vídeo resumen de la esencia de Dénia dio comienzo al acto, que fue presentado por la fallera mayor de Dénia 2012 Anna Sobrecases Hostalrich y en el que reinó el alma marinera de la ciudad.
El primero en ser llamado al escenario fue el presidente de la Junta Local Fallera, Jose Vicente Benavente, que recibió, una a una, a las componentes de las cortes de honor de las falleras mayores. A continuación, y acompañadas por el alcalde de la ciudad, Vicent Grimalt, llegó el turno de recibir a Melani y Carla, que aparecieron acompañadas por dos agentes de Policía Local de Dénia ataviados con el uniforme de gala.
El alcalde de Dénia tomó la palabra para desear a las protagonistas de la noche un gran año, y aprovechó para alabar la labor de la Junta Local Fallera y de los trabajadores del Centro Social por haber hecho posible el acto a pesar de los contratiempos.
La madre de Melani y el primo de la pequeña Carla fueron los encargados de subir al escenario las joyas que lucirán las falleras mayores, que les impuso el alcalde al tiempo que les hizo entrega de sus nombramientos. Acto seguido, las jóvenes impusieron sus corbatines al estandarte de Junta Local Fallera.
Una vez hubieron ocupado sus asientos llegó el turno del exaltador, el dianense Pepe Crespo, que a pesar de algunos inconvenientes técnicos, ofreció un discurso desenfadado y muy personalizado en las falleras mayores. Crespo comenzó recordando la reciente visita que realizaron a las fiestas de Segorbe, en la que tuvo la oportunidad de convivir con Melani y Carla y comprobar la complicidad y el saber estar de las máximas representantes de las fallas de Dénia.
Crespo abogó también por mantener la tradición frente a la modernidad, porque eso es parte de nuestra identidad y esencia, y dedicó unas emotivas palabras tanto a Melani y Carla como a sus cortes de honor. Al finalizar, el presidente le hizo entrega de un recuerdo conmemorativo de su labor como exaltador de las falleras mayores de Dénia.
El acto continuó con las pleitesías de las entidades locales a las falleras mayores. Las primeras en mostrar su afecto fueron sus antecesoras, Inés Alacreu y Mar Cabrera. A continuación pasaron por el escenario el concejal de fiestas, Óscar Mengual; los representantes de la Cofradía de Sant Roc y de la Cofradía de la Santíssima Sang; el presidente y la camarera de la Comissió de Festes de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats; el presidente de la Cofradía de Pescadores y los capitanes moro y cristiano del próximo año.
Los cargos de las once comisiones falleras de la ciudad tampoco faltaron a esta importante cita, así como los representantes de las fiestas de Elda, Elche, San Vicent, Gandía, Sueca, Torrent, Xàtiva y Murcia.
