La Agrupación de Fallas del Marítimo realizará el próximo domingo 8 de octubre, como cada año, uno de sus actos más llamativos, la Ofrenda de Flores a la Virgen sumergida, situada en el espigón de la parte exterior del Real Club Náutico de Valencia.
La figura, esculpida en bronce 1977 por Ignacio Cuartero Fernández, estuvo más de 30 años emplazada bajo el mar frente al faro de Valencia, a 14 metros de profundidad. Sin embargo, en mayo de 2009, debido a las obras de reforzamiento del faro que se hicieron en el Puerto y después de haber
restaurado la imagen, los miembros del club de buceo GISED Valencia, con la colaboración del Real Club Náutico, colocaron la imagen de la Virgen “en un lugar más accesible, frente al espigón situado junto a sus instalaciones, y donde está a 10 metros de profundidad”
La Marina Real, en la explanada de la Pérgola, acogerá el próximo domingo 8 de octubre a las 9.30h el comienzo del acto. Desde allí se accederá a los
dos catamaranes que nos llevarán hasta la imagen sumergida de la Virgen.
Los submarinistas de GISED Valencia, serán los encargados de sumergir el ramo que las Falleras Mayores de Valencia 2017, Raquel Alario Bernabé y
Clara María Parejo Pérez, les entregarán en representación de toda la Agrupación. Al mismo tiempo, y en señal de Ofrenda, las Falleras Mayores e
Infantiles de las Fallas que forman parte de la Agrupación lanzarán una flor al agua.
Por su singularidad, este acto es siempre muy especial para todas las Falleras Mayores del Marítimo, y también lo será para las Falleras Mayores de Valencia, que disfrutarán de una agradable mañana en barco, en el que será uno de los últimos actos de su reinado.
