El pasado lunes el Gremio Artesano de Sastres y Modistas CV celebraba la onomástica de San Vicente Mártir, patrón de la Ciudad de Valencia y del Gremio, con a la bajada de la Real Senyera Gremial por los balcones de la institución en la Av. de María Cristina, para después iniciar una procesión cívica hacia la Catedral en cuya capilla del Santo Cáliz se ofició una solemne misa.
Con la celebración de la festividad, el Gremio, fundado gracias al decreto firmado por el Rey Jaume I en 1247, procedía al nombramiento anual de los cuatro miembros de la Junta Honorífica que presidirán la institución junto al Maestro Mayor, Fran Tochena.
Para este ejercicio 2018, la representación de la Junta recae en los siguientes miembros:
Clavariesa: Ana Urango (profesora de la Escuela de Formación del Gremio durante más de 15 años),
Dama d’Art: Carmen Bueso (indumentarista y gerente de Flor),
Mayoral: José Polit (indumentarista y gerente de ..En hilos de seda)
y Cavaller de la Senyera: Camilo Miralles (industrial sedero).
Tras la procesión y nombramientos, como viene siendo costumbre se ofreció un almuerzo de hermandad en el Casino de Agricultura con el que concluyeron las actividades desplegadas durante la jornada, al que asistieron, además de los miembros de la Junta Honorifica con sus respectivos acompañantes, un centenar de personas vinculadas a la institución, entre ellos miembros de la Junta de Gobierno del Gremio como la indumentarista Amparo Fabra, Diego Orzáez, Paqui Ortíz, Juan Carlos Pitarch, la Fallera Mayor de Valencia 2018 Rocío Gil, el indumentarista premiado con la Joia de Diamants Enrique Marzal, la presidenta del Ateneo Mercantil Carmen de Rosa con Carmen Sancho de Rosa FMV 2014, el indumentarista y Clavario de la Hermandad de San Jerónimo del Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda, José Eduardo Puertes, la diseñadora Mª Rosa Fenollar, el indumentarista y profesor de la escuela de formación del Gremio Juan Carlos Cañabate Solaz, la Reina de la Hermandad del Ramo de la Aguja, María Hidalgo Zamora y su Corte entre otros.
Los cargos proclamados se encargarán de desempeñar labores centenarias en torno a funciones representativas: el Clavario, con el cometido de custodiar y salvaguardar la institución; la Dama d’Art, con la encomienda de preservar y defender los intereses de las modistas; el Mayoral, cuidando y dirigiendo el extenso grupo que conforma el Gremio; y el Cavaller de la Senyera, cuyo quehacer consiste en responsabilizarse de velar y portar la Senyera, emblema del Gremio. Estos nombramientos vienen a suceder a la Junta de 2017, integrada por Alfredo Esteve, Paqui Martorell, Juan Carlos Cañabate y Félix Crespo respectivamente.
