El diputado de Medio Ambiente de la Diputación de Valencia, Josep Bort, ha mantenido una reunión de trabajo con el director del departamento de Árboles Monumentales de Imelsa, Bernabé Moya, y con el técnico de este departamento, José Moya, para analizar los diferentes proyectos que se prevé poner en marcha para la conservación de la masa forestal de las comarcas valencianas.
Durante el encuentro se ha tratado la publicación de un estudio en la revista internacional “Journal of Environmental Management”, que da respuestas al comportamiento de una plantación de 946 cipreses durante un incendio en el que mientras el resto de la vegetación se calcinaba únicamente se quemó el 1,27% de los cipreses.
