La sexta Asamblea General de la Unesco, a propuesta de la Convención para la Salvaguarda del Patrimonio Inmaterial, ha acreditado la Associació d’Estudis Fallers (ADEF) como organización consultiva no gubernamental, según han informado fuentes de la entidad cultural y de investigación fallera.Esta acreditación supone que la ADEF podrá realizar servicios consultivos para la UNESCO en temas de patrimonio cultural inmaterial que le requiera la organización internacional.
En esta asamblea, que se ha celebrado esta semana en París, la Unesco ha acreditado un total de 24 nuevas entidades, de las cuales sólo dos, ADEF y la Asociación Cultural y Pedagógica ‘Ponte … nas Ondas’ de Galicia son entidades españolas.
Con la incorporación de estas dos asociaciones, en la actualidad son únicamente siete las entidades españolas acreditadas por la Unesco para cuestiones de patrimonio inmaterial, mientras que la Associació d’Estudis Fallers es la primera entidad valenciana en recibir este reconocimiento.
En opinión del presidente de ADEF, Jesús Peris, el reconocimiento «valora el trabajo de investigación y difusión del patrimonio inmaterial de la fiesta de las Fallas que hemos desarrollado desde 1990 sobre las fiestas del fuego desde un punto de vista científico y riguroso, creando sinergias entre instituciones y valorandolas como el rico patrimonio cultural que son».
El proceso de acreditación, que requiere pasar varias evaluaciones técnicas, se inició hace más de un año con la presentación de toda la documentación que acredita los trabajos realizados durante los 26 años de actividad de ADEF, que a partir de ahora se verá ampliada al ámbito internacional.
«Creemos que este es un paso importante para potenciar la fiesta de las Fallas a nivel internacional a partir del reconocimiento de su potencialidad cultural, y creemos que es una buena noticia para la fiesta», ha afirmado Peris.
