El pasado sábado 5 de octubre, tuvo lugar en la sala de exposiciones del Palau de Vivanco sito en el M.I. Ayuntamiento de Catarroja la inauguración de la exposición que todos los años organiza la Asociación Cultural Falla L’Albufera, bajo el nombre de “9 Dies d’Octubre”. La exposición está dedicada al “Camí de Sant Vicent Màrtir i els seus vestigis pel mon”.
En tiempos como los actuales donde la revitalización de caminos que rememoran hechos históricos se ha convertido en un eje vertebrador de muchos territorios, nos encontramos con que en el territorio valenciano existe una tradición secular que desgraciadamente los siglos y la historia se encargaron de ensombrecer. Así, en el siglo IV de la Hispania romana, en los albores de Valentia, empezó a extenderse por el orbe cristiano con rapidez inusitada los ecos del martirio sufrido por Vicentius a manos del Cónsul Daciano. Este hecho y su rápida propagación provocaron que surgiera una imparable corriente de peregrinación hacia la Basílica de Sant Vicent de la Roqueta donde la tradición nos dice que descansan sus restos. Este hecho convirtió a Valentia en un centro de peregrinaciones muy anterior al fenómeno del Camino de Santiago.
La exposición homenajea la figura de San Vicente Mártir mostrando fotografías de todos los lugares donde dejó su huella: su arquitectura, pintura, escultura, retablos, etc… Destacando los lugares vicentinos de Valéncia ciudad. Entre otros elementos históricos, se puede admirar una imagen de San Vicente que preside la sede del Gremio de sastres i modistas del cual es patrono desde 1247, i también, cedido gentilmente por la parroquia de San Vicent Màrtir de Guadassuar, el único lienzo del retablo del Altar Mayor que se salvó en 1936 dedicado a San Valero i San Vicente.
Al acto asistió la alcaldesa de Catarroja Soledad Ramón, y diversos ediles de la corporación municipal, representando a la Junta Local Fallera de Catarroja asistieron su presidente Jesús Raga y las Falleras Mayores Paula y Alba, Amícs de l’Albufera, falleros y simpatizante de la comisión.
Las Falleras Mayores de la Comisión Laura Quiles y Laura Santos junto con sus respectivos presidentes, Miquel Verdeguer y Oscar Segundo Carramolino cortaron la cinta declarando inaugurada la exposición.
La muestra podrá ser visitada hasta el día 14 de octubre con un horario de 18h a 20,30h y está situada en la sala de exposiciones del Palau de Vivanco en el mismo Ayuntamiento de Catarroja.
