La Falla de la Plaça de Torrent celebró el viernes los actos del 75 Aniversario de su fundación en el barrio que la vio nacer. Los actos comenzaron con una procesión desde el casal hasta el Antic Mercat, presidida por la Senyera de la comisón y en la que participó la Fallera Mayor Infantil de Torrent, Paula Giménez, ediles del equipo de gobierno y de la oposición, así como las falleras mayores de la comisión, María José Mora y Carolina Benavent. Junto a ellos, el Grup de Ball de Torrent, así como las falleras mayores infantiles y mayores de toda la historia de la comisión.
En una sala cívica de l’Antic Mercat llena de público, el periodista Aitor Sánchez –recientemente nombrado fallero de honor de La Plaça-, condujo el acto de presentación del Libro Conmemorativo del 75 Aniversario. Diversos miembros del equipo de trabajo del 75 Aniversario y Boro Císcar, en representación de la Comissió d’Estudis Fallers explicaron el contenido del libro, diseñado por Eugenio Simó.
Durante el acto se homenajeó a aquellos falleros de la comisión que a lo largo de la historia han destacado por su labor en la Falla, especialmente aquellos que ya están fallecidos.
Al finalizar el acto, las falleras mayores de La Plaça junto con el presidente, José María Andreu, desvelaron los ninots que representarán a la comisión en la Exposición del Ninot 2017 con sorpresa incluída. Ya que el ninot grande representa a Aitor Sánchez, que mostró su alegría y sorpresa por este homenaje de la Falla de la Plaça a su labor en el 75 Aniversario de la comisión.
Sobre la Torre se proyectó un video, con fotografías antiguas de la comisión y con saludas realizados por los propios falleros. Los actos finalizaron con una potente mascletà de 31 kilogramos de pólvora, disparada por Hermanos Caballer que atronó en todo el Centro Histórico y se celebró un catering ofrecido por uno de los patrocinadores principales de la Falla en su 75 Aniversario, Panaria.
