La primera cita de la agenda oficial del día de San José de 2013 comienza con el desayuno de las Falleras Mayores de Valencia, Cortes de Honor, Casas Regionales, autoridades y comitiva de Junta Central Fallera en la comisión Doctor Olóriz-Arzobispo Fabián y Fuero. El motivo no es otro que comenzar el día haciendo una ofrenda floral a la imagen de su patrón en el puente de San José.
Este tradicional acto, que se viene realizando desde el año 1961, estará conducido en esta ocasión por ALEJANDRO GARCÍA, presentador y director del programa ‘Cadafal’ de Ràdio 9, e incluirá también la entrega del premio
Miguel Esteban al Mejor Remate de la sección Primera A. *19 DE MARZO DE 1951: ‘LAS FALLAS A SU SANTO PATRÓN’*
El día 19 de marzo de 1951 fue una fecha feliz para el mundo fallero, pero más aún para los entusiastas y dinámicos falleros de la comisión Doctor Olóriz- Arzobispo Fabián y Fuero. Tras la petición ante Junta Central Fallera, y a su presidente por aquel entonces, Adolfo Cámara Vila, falleros y amigos del popular Barrio de Marxalenes, conseguían, erigir un monumento en honor al Patriarca San José en el puente que sobre el río Túria lleva su nombre en Valencia. El monumento, hoy ya sexagenario, fue costeado por suscripción popular de manera particular por el amplio mundo fallero.
Ese día, el acto adquirió una gran relevancia y solemnidad, ya que acudieron autoridades como el Ministro de Educación del momento, José Ibáñez Martín, el alcalde de Valencia, José Manglano Selva, la Fallera Mayor de Valencia, Pilar Ibáñez Martín-Mellado, la Fallera Mayor Infantil de Valencia, Encarnación Selva Adrién, y por supuesto, la Reina del Barrio, la Fallera Mayor de Doctor Olóriz- Arzobispo Fabián y Fuero, Maruja Peiró Lázaro, todas bien arropadas por sus Cortes de Honor, y que fueron las madrinas del acto.
