La Comunitat Valenciana cuenta con un total de 113 casas regionales, las cuales representan a 14 autonomías españolas.Las entidades, que alcanzan aproximadamente los 20.000 socios inscritos, son mayoritariamente andaluzas (55). También hay varios centros de Castilla-La Mancha (23) y de Extremadura (4). El resto son de Castilla y León, Melilla, Asturias, Murcia, Aragón, el País Vasco, Navarra, Canarias, Galicia, Madrid y Cantabria.
La directora general de Transparencia y Participación Ciudadana, María Barrios, que ha asistido a los actos organizados por la Federación de Entidades Culturales Andaluzas de la Comunidad Valenciana (FECA-CV) con motivo de la celebración del Día de Andalucía, ha indicado que «la Generalitat colabora con las casas regionales para fomentar el intercambio cultural entre las tradiciones valencianas y las de otras regiones de España».
«Las casas regionales ubicadas en la Comunitat son ejemplo de la multiculturalidad que tiene nuestro país, pues muestran un amplio abanico de tradiciones que sus integrantes se esfuerzan por mantener a pesar de la distancia con sus lugares de origen», ha destacado Barrios.
La directora ha hecho hincapié en que «estos colectivos han sabido integrar perfectamente su cultura y sus tradiciones en la sociedad valenciana. Buen ejemplo de ello es la Feria Andaluza de Valencia que la Federación de Entidades Culturales Andaluzas de la Comunitat Valenciana organiza cada año o la participación de diferentes casas regionales en actos falleros, como la Ofrenda a la Virgen de los Desamparados».
El 17% de la población de la Comunitat procede de otras autonomías
Según los últimos datos facilitados por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística, en la Comunitat Valenciana residen 865.118 personas procedentes de otras zonas de España, lo que representa el 17% del total de la población de la Comunitat. La Comunitat es la tercera autonomía con más residentes de otras comunidades.
La mayoría son originarios de Castilla-La Mancha (235.213) y de Andalucía (208.298). Les siguen los madrileños, murcianos, catalanes y aragoneses. En minoría se encuentran los oriundos de La Rioja, Ceuta y Navarra.
