A las 19 horas se concentraban en la Ronda de las Murallas, frente al Hort de Morant, las comisiones falleras de Dénia y las juntas locales invitadas a la celebración: Xàbia, Elche, Carcaixent, Benidorm, Jumilla, Sant Vicent del Raspeig, Xàtiva, Alzira y Alicante.
La presentadora de la recepción, Marta Tabernero Sanmiguel, llamó una por una a las componentes de las cortes de honor de las falleras mayores, que bajaron por la escalera que conecta con la calle Santíssima Trinitat.
Cuando todas hubieron saludado a las autoridades, el presidente de la Junta Local Fallera, José Antonio Monsonís, bajó a la ronda para recibir a Marina Margalejo y Alejandra Pastor, que llegaron en el coche oficial. Aplausos y muestras de cariño para las protagonistas de la tarde, que se hicieron las fotos oficiales con los cargos de las fallas, con los invitados y con sus cortes.
A continuación salieron en comitiva, acompañados por la colla de dolçainers La Xareta, hasta la plaza del Consell, recorriendo Ronda Murallas, Foramur, La Mar, Carlos Sentí, Marqués de Campo y Diana hasta la plaza, donde con unos minutos de retraso dio comienzo la presentación de las falleras mayores de Dénia 2016.
