Escrit remés per Círcul Cívic a la Federació de Fogueres de Sant Joan d´Alacant, demanant respecte per la tradicional i molt valenciana denominació de «Bellea del Foc» per a les Regines d´esta representativa festa del folclore alacantí i valencià.
Estimados sres. de la Federació de Fogueres de Sant Joan:
Desde Círcul Cívic Valencià nos ponemos en contacto con uds. de nuevo para hacerles saber nuestro malestar al respecto del cambio de denominación que han realizado en su web oficial donde han sustituido la tradicional y valenciana denominación de Bellea por el de su equivalente catalana Bellesa. Como uds. bien saben, las Fogueres utilizan un sinfín de palabras valencianas, entre ellas ninot, plantà, mascletà, cremà, barraca, coca en tonyina, bacores, foguera, Bellea… En su caso, y como garantes de las tradiciones alicantinas, deberían ser más escrupulosos si cabe en este tipo de temas.
Adjunto les remitimos versión en PDF del informe recientemente emitido por la Secció de Llengua i Lliteratura Valencianes de la Real Acadèmia de Cultura Valenciana que trata precisamente del uso de la expresión «Bellea del Fòc». Al respecto del uso apropiado del término Bellea, hemos estado consultando hemerotecas de los periódicos más importantes de la ciudad de Alicante y nos alegra ver que ellos siguen utilizando el término valenciano, Bellea. Además, buscando información en internet hemos encontrado numerosas imágenes en las que aparece la denominación Bellea, algunas de las cuales datan de fechas tan lejanas como 1933, las cuales adjuntamos también.
Les agradeceríamos tuvieran a bien el corregir este error en su web oficial así como recomendarles el uso de Bellea en sucesivas ocasiones y acontecimientos y no se dejen arrastrar por la nueva moda catalanizadora que ha surgido en los últimos años en la Comunidad Valenciana.
Quedamos a la espera de su respuesta y nos ponemos a su disposición para cualquier tipo de futura colaboración entre nuestras entidades, así como desearles que disfruten mucho durante los días de celebraciones de las Fogueres y que todos los actos se desarrollen de la mejor manera.
