El director gerente de Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV), Juan Andrés Sánchez Jordán, la directora de la Autoridad del Transporte Metropolitano de València, María Pérez, y el concejal de Cultura Festiva del Ayuntamiento de València, Pere Fuset, han mantenido una reunión para coordinar de manera efectiva los servicios especiales que Metrovalencia puede ofrecer durante los actos festivos previstos en la ciudad de València durante este año.
Fuset ha expuesto el calendario actividades festivas de la ciudad que tiene sus principales referencias en Fallas y la Gran Fira de València, fechas en las que de manera habitual FGV incrementa su oferta de servicios de metro y tranvía.
Sánchez Jordán ha explicado que «FGV ya trabaja en reforzar su servicio para facilitar la asistencia en transporte público a los diferentes actos programados con motivo de las fiestas y celebraciones que se celebran en la ciudad».
El director gerente de FGV ha anunciado que «desde la empresa pública ya se trabaja para incrementar su oferta los días centrales de las Fallas, desde el 15 hasta el inicio del servicio convencional del día 20 de marzo. Además está previsto incrementar el número de trenes y tranvías en las jornadas más importantes y en los momentos de mayor afluencia de gente».
Los servicios especiales programados para Fallas 2018 comienzan con la Crida y se prolongan hasta después de la Cremà. El pasado año Metrovalencia registró, del 15 al 19 de marzo y después de prestar 120 horas de servicio ininterrumpido de metro y tranvía, un total de 1.872.369 viajeros, cifra que suponía un incremento del 4,7% respecto a 2016.
Tanto desde el Ayuntamiento de València como desde FGV se divulgarán los horarios especiales que se ofrezcan con motivos de estas actividades culturales y festivas.
Respecto al resto de fechas anunciadas dentro del calendario festivo de la ciudad, FGV se coordinará con el Ayuntamiento de València y la Autoridad del Transporte Metropolitano con la finalidad de conocer de manera detallada horarios y posible demanda y programar la oferta de transporte de la manera más adecuada posible en estos eventos que congregan a multitud de personas.
