Las carrozas de los tres Reyes llegaron tiradas por camellos
Gran espectáculo el que supuso la Cabalgata de Reyes 2014. El ayuntamiento de Valencia, a través de la Concejalía de Fiestas y Cultura Popular, organizó una nueva edición de esta tradicional cita para dar la bienvenida a nuestra ciudad a SSMM los Reyes Magos, Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar.
Ayer domingo, día 5 de enero, los tres monarcas llegaron puntuales a su cita con los niños de Valencia. Con este motivo organizó una gran fiesta de acogida, que permitió contemplar por las calles de nuestra ciudad un contingente festivo integrado por 40 carrozas, 3 trenecitos, 9 agrupaciones musicales o bandas de música, 8 grupos de animación y un centenar de animales.
Todo comenzó a las 17:00 horas, con la llegada de Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar a las costas de Valencia. El primer recibimiento se realizó en el Puerto, con la presencia del Concejal de Fiestas y Cultura Popular, Francisco Lledó, acompañado por la Fallera Mayor Infantil, Claudia Villodre. Allí, los Reyes saludaron a los numerosos niños que se acercaron para ver los primeros a los mágicos monarcas llegados de Oriente.
El desfile dio comienzo una hora más tarde, a las 18:00 horas, desde el Paseo de La Alameda. La cabalgata se dividió en dos partes temáticas, tituladas respectivamente, ‘Un Mundo de Ilusión’ y ‘La Cristiandad’. Cerca de 5.000 figurantes y animadores recrearon escenas y referentes tanto del mundo infantil como del relato bíblico de los Reyes Magos.
El recorrido de la procesión transcurrió por el Paseo de la Alameda, el Puente de la Exposición, las calles Del Justicia y General Tovar, la Glorieta, y las vías de Paz, San Vicente, para terminar en la Plaza del Ayuntamiento y la calle Marqués de Sotelo. Numerosos grupos de música, como colles de dolçainers i tabaleters, bandas de cornetas y tambores, y bandas de música, entre ellas la Banda Municipal de Valencia, animaron el paso de las carrozas y los personajes.
Entre las carrozas participantes, la Policía Local incorporó una este año por primera vez, que se suma como presencia festiva, además de los agentes de la Policía Montada que desfilaban, y al margen de los efectivos que trabajaron ese día para garantizar la seguridad durante el recorrido.
“AVELUZ”: 200 ACTORES Y BAILARINES ABREN PASO A LOS REYES
Una de las novedades preparadas para este año fue el espectáculo musical y de danza que abría el Boato de los Reyes Magos, y que corrió a cargo del grupo Ballet Master de Ontinyent. Se trata de la representación titulada ‘Aveluz’, que reunió a más de 200 personas, y que daba paso con toda vistosidad a las carrozas de los tres monarcas de Oriente.
De hecho, en esta edición, además, las tres carrozas reales aparecieron guiadas por camellos, como manda la tradición, rodeadas como es habitual, por el séquito de los Reyes, integrado por pajes, soldados y guardianes.
Hacia las 20:00 horas llegaban al ayuntamiento Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar, donde fueron recibidos a pie de calle por la alcaldesa de Valencia, Rita Barberá, junto al Concejal de Fiestas y Cultura Popular, Francisco Lledó, y la Fallera Mayor Infantil, Claudia Villodre. Tras adorar la imagen del niño Jesús del nacimiento instalado ante el edificio municipal, los Reyes subieron al balcón principal del ayuntamiento, como es tradicional, en una escalera de bomberos, desde donde saludaron a la gran cantidad de niños que se dieron cita en la plaza del Ayuntamiento. Posteriormente, se produjo la recepción oficial en el Salón de Cristal de la Casa Consistorial, donde los niños pudieron encontrarse y conversar con los tres magos.
