Conseguir unas Fallas más sostenibles. Con este propósito trabajan de forma conjunta la Diputación de Valencia, la Conselleria de Agricultura, Medio Ambiente, Cambio Climático y Desarrollo Rural y el Ayuntamiento de Valencia a través de un amplio proyecto marco que pretende estimar el impacto real de la Fiesta en los ámbitos económico, social, turístico y medioambiental en la ciudad de Valencia y las comarcas.
«Las Fallas son un elemento de primer orden en nuestra cultura, que llevan asociadas repercusiones -económicas, ambientales y sociales- que hay que tener presentes. Este aspecto resulta, si cabe, más necesario con la reciente declaración de la fiesta como Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad por parte de la Unesco «, señaló el secretario autonómico de Medio Ambiente y Cambio Climático, Julián Álvaro.
A este respecto, la importancia de las Fallas trasciende el plano estrictamente festivo, teniendo importantes repercusiones en el ámbito cultural, social, económico y medioambiental. Las Fallas deben ser un ejemplo de avance hacia la sostenibilidad, ya que hay muchos procesos, actos y actuaciones donde la huella de la sostenibilidad puede mejorar la fiesta y hacerla más respetuosa con el medio ambiente, mejorar los recuerdos de sus visitantes y enorgullecerse los municipios ya las generaciones futuras.
El secretario autonómico de Medio Ambiente y Cambio Climático, Julián Álvaro, explicó que desde el punto de vista medioambiental «se van a analizar las Fallas atendiendo a la repercusión ambiental del acto de la ‘cremà’ de los monumentos y su afección a la calidad de la atmósfera y, en segunda instancia, promoviendo óptimas prácticas entre el colectivo fallero y la fiesta en su conjunto «.
Para disponer de ambas diagnosis, Julián Álvaro ha avanzado que se encargará un estudio técnico en el Centro de Estudios Ambientales del Mediterráneo (CEAM) «para el análisis de las emisiones y elaborar propuestas de mejora» mientras el Centro de educación Ambiental de la Comunidad Valenciana (CEACV) «promoverá una guía sostenible para los casales falleros».
«El objetivo del proyecto marco ‘Por unas Fallas sostenibles’ radica en conocer el impacto ambiental con el fin de evaluarlo y definir estrategias que nos permiten avanzar hacia la sostenibilidad ambiental de la Fiesta», ha explicado el diputado de Medio ambiente, Josep Bort. En este sentido, será de gran importancia las acciones encaminadas «a sensibilizar y concienciar a los actores implicados para poder impulsar y promocionar las Fallas desde la vertiente de la sostenibilidad, no exclusivamente durante la semana fallera, sino a lo largo de todo el ciclo fallero «, especificó Bort.
Por ello, se necesita disponer de un diagnóstico de la situación económica, social y ambiental a partir del cual determinar medidas, actuaciones y procesos de mejora que benefician la fiesta en su conjunto, teniendo en cuenta a todos los colectivos que participan.
Pere Fuset, concejal de Cultura Festiva, aseguró que la declaración de las Fallas como Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad «constituye una oportunidad inmejorable para obtener el máximo potencial de la fiesta». En este sentido, ha insistido en que este proyecto «nos permitirá conocer los datos más representativos y nos ayudará a mejorar todos los aspectos dentro de la semana fallera, como también en el resto del ciclo anual de la fiesta», señaló.
Un primer estudio, en ejecución, analizará las Fallas desde las tres vertientes (económica, social y ambiental), tanto a nivel técnico como cualitativo. El mismo permitirá disponer de datos fehacientes y objetivas, pero también percibir la sensibilidad de la gente al respecto, del colectivo fallero y de otros sectores que interactúan o participan de la fiesta, como el gremio de artesanos, los servicios asistenciales, los diferentes sectores dinamizadores de la economía y el turismo, o los visitantes y turistas que atraen las Fallas, entre otros.
Este estudio se complementará con actividades de sensibilización dirigidas tanto a la población en general, para fomentar comportamientos y hábitos sociales más sostenibles; como también al colectivo fallero, para promover una gestión sostenible de los centros. Además, también se está trabajando en la posibilidad de propiciar acciones de voluntariado ambiental fallero.
«Nuestras fiestas constituyen un reflejo de lo que somos como sociedad. Por ello, si cambiamos en nuestras formas de hacer y entender nuestra relación con el planeta, si cada día nos esforzamos para ser más sostenibles, es lógico que nuestras celebraciones tengan que reflejar esta evolución », enfatizó Bort.
Para la obtención de los resultados, la propuesta metodológica considerará la ciudad de Valencia, al ser ésta la que concentra la mayor actividad fallera, así como un conjunto de ciudades del resto de las comarcas valencianas con presencia de Fallas (Alzira, Gandia, Sagunto, Sueca, Torrent y Xàtiva) representativas de la actividad fallera.
