Daniela Gómez y Rocio Gil son las Falleras Mayores de Valencia 2018
Como es tradicional en el mes de octubre, esta tarde se ha celebrado la llamada más famosa de la ciudad. Esa llamada por parte del Alcalde del Cap i Casal que reciben dos falleras y que las convierte en Falleras Mayores de Valencia,
Pasaban las 19.30 horas cuando ha comenzado el acto. Minutos antes, en el salón de Cristal del consistorio, Joan Ribó, alcalde de Valencia, junto a Pere Fuset, presidente de Junta Central Fallera recibía, de manos de cada uno de los dos jurados, los sobres cerrados y firmados por cada uno de los miembros. Esos sobres llevaban en su interior el nombre de las dos candidatas que han sido elegidas para representar nuestras fiestas más internacionales: las Fallas.
En este caso, uno de los nombres ha sido el de Daniela Gómez de los Ángeles. Daniela ha sido elegida para ser Fallera Mayor Infantil de Valencia 2018, tiene 10 años y pertenece a la Comisión Santa María Micaela – Martí l’Humà, del sector Botànic – La Petxina. Esta niña, de diez años, estudia 5º de primaria en el colegio San Pedro Pascual y desde esta tarde ha pasado a la historia de la ciudad y de nuestras fiestas convirtiéndose en nuestra Fallera Mayor Infantil de Valencia 2018. Tras la llamada, donde no ha podido contener las lágrimas y la emoción, el alcalde la ha felicitado en su nombre y en el todo el colectivo fallero. Siendo agradecidas estas palabras por Daniela con un breve discurso donde ponía de manifiesto su alegría.
Tras la alegría de la representante del mundo infantil, llegaba el turno para la Fallera Mayor de Valencia 2018, cargo que este año ostenta Rocío Gil Uncio. Fallera de la Falla Plaza de la Merced. Esta joven de 26 años y fallera del sector: La Seu – La Xerea – El Mercat es estudiante de máster en acceso a la abogacia y, al igual que la representante infantil, no ha podido ocultar sus sentimientos de agradecimiento a todos aquellos que han confiado en ella para convertirla en la nueva máxima representante de las fiestas falleras.
Tras este breve y emocionante acto, el Alcalde de la ciudad, Joan Ribó, acompañado por el presidente de Junta Central Fallera, Pere Fuset, y de los miembros del jurado han visitado a nuestras dos nuevas representantes, quienes acompañadas de sus familias y Cortes de Honor han disfrutado de su primera noche como Falleras Mayores de Valencia 2018.
