Esta noche, a partir de las 21:00 horas, la ciudad vivirá pendiente de una llamada de teléfono: la que cambiará la vida de dos jóvenes, que desde ese momento serán oficialmente las falleras mayores de Dénia para 2017.
A las 20:00 horas comenzarán las votaciones en el Ayuntamiento. Cabe recordar que tienen derecho a votar siete miembros de Junta Local Fallera (el equivalente a un tercio de la suma total de presidentes y delegados), los presidentes de las fallas de Dénia 2017; un delegado de la asamblea de cada falla; las falleras mayores de Dénia 2016, Marina Margalejo y Alejandra Pastor; el presidente de la Junta Local Fallera, José Antonio Monsonís; la concejala de fiestas, Eva Ronda; y el alcalde de la ciudad y presidente nato de la Junta, Vicent Grimalt.
En total, 34 personas con derecho a voto. Cada uno de ellos deberá introducir una papeleta con las fotos de las dos candidatas a fallera mayor y otra con las fotos de las dos candidatas a fallera mayor infantil.
A las 21:00 horas se cerrarán las votaciones y tras el recuento, que se realizará en el despacho de alcaldía, el alcalde procederá a llamar a las elegidas como máximas representantes de las fallas de Dénia 2017.
Aproximadamente a las 22:00 horas, las nuevas falleras mayores de Dénia y las componentes de sus cortes de honor serán recibidas en los soportales del Ayuntamiento por las autoridades locales y el mundo fallero, y a continuación se procederá a celebrar su proclamación como tal.

Las candidatas a fallera mayor infantil de Dénia son las niñas Gloria Gil López (Falla Centro), Gisela Pellicer Ramis (Falla Diana), Itziar Rosalén Ahuir (Falla Saladar), Aitana García Serra (Falla Campaments), Diana Suarez Femenía (Falla Campaments), Míriam Miralles Roselló (Falla Les Roques), Angela Ortiz Fornés (Falla Darrere del Castell) y Mar Cabrera Ramis (Falla Baix la Mar).
Aspiran a ser la fallera mayor de Dénia 2017 las jóvenes Yolanda Romero Llull (Falla Campaments), Inés Alacreu Roselló (Falla Saladar), Ruth Negre Santacreu (Falla Les Roques), María Valeiras Rodríguez (Falla Darrere del Castell) y Laura Casado Banda (Falla Baix la Mar).

Ayer por la noche, las trece candidatas desfilaron vestidas de fallera en el salón de actos del colegio Llebeig ante la atenta mirada de centenares de personas. Los nervios hicieron acto de presencia, pero no impidieron que las sonrisas hicieran a las candidatas brillar ante la ilusión de representar a las fallas de Dénia durante todo un año.
