Tras vencer en la batalla, el sacerdote descubrió que las formas consagradas que había escondido para preservarlas estaban ensangrentadas, manchando los corporales. Al disputarse la propiedad de los corporales, se decidió que los llevara el burrito del sacerdote y hasta que se detuviera; tras un largo recorrido, paró y murió ante la catedral de Daroca.
El abad de la colegiata de Gandía, Ángel San Eugenio ha presidido la solemne eucaristía concelebrada, tras la cual se ha realizado la exposición del Santísimo Sacramento, con turnos de adoración.
La bajada del Mont Sant en procesión hasta la población, con una parada en la ermita cercana, reúne cada año a cientos de creyentes y resulta una muestra de fervor eucarístico recordando el milagro de hace casi ocho siglos., con la participación de representantes de Daroca (Zaragoza), Carboneras de Guadazaón y La Almarcha (Huesca), la Adoración Nocturna y los niños de primera comunión del pueblo.
Una vez en Llutxent, el Santísimo es llevado bajo palio por las calles principales hasta la parroquia de la Asunción de Nuestra Señora, concluyendo con la adoración eucarística y la veneración de una reliquia del beato José Aparicio, natural de Enguera y mártir de la persecución religiosa de 1936, que recuperó la tradición de celebrar el misterio hace más de 80 años y fundó la Hermandad del Santísimo Misterio de los Corporales.
