VALENCIA (EFE). El alcalde de Valencia, Joan Ribó, ha defendido hoy por la «visualización» de la fiesta de las Fallas y la potenciación de sus aspectos más desconocidos y ha añadido que, a su juicio, sería «razonable» que tuvieran una aparición en televisión «comparable» a la de los sanfermines de Pamplona.
Ribó se ha manifestado así durante la conferencia-desayuno del Fórum Europa-Tribuna Mediterránea, en la que ha sido presentado por la vicepresidenta del Consell y compañera de partido (Compromís), Mònica Oltra, y a la que también ha asistido el president de la Generalitat, Ximo Puig.
El alcalde ha explicado que trabajan para que las Fallas sean declaradas Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad y que se le preste «más atención» por su «trascendencia y participación», y ha recordado que ya se han entrevistado con RTVE para que «reflexione» sobre ello, ya que actualmente solo retransmite en directo la Cremà de los monumentos, la noche de San José.
Además, ha desgranado la situación económica en la que se encuentra el Ayuntamiento, que ha asegurado es «grave» pero que la tienen «controlada», y ha defendido que lo primero era conseguir que el consistorio funcionase y luego «ir limpiando bajo las alfombras paulatinamente».
Ribó ha apostado por iniciar ya la primera fase de Parque Central y ha instado al Gobierno a presentar un proyecto, y ha subrayado que han mejorado la comunicación con los ciudadanos y tiene previsto revertir la privatización de servicios municipales de transporte y educación, proteger la huerta, avanzar en movilidad sostenible y fomentar la normalización lingüística.
