Rita Barberá y las Falleras Mayores de Valencia visitan los talleres falleros

Foto: José Sapena.- “No tengo palabras para explicar la enorme belleza y las grandiosas dimensiones de un león que encima es muy guapo y que va a impresionar muchísimo a todos los valencianos y a quienes nos visiten, además de demostrar una vez más lo artistas que somos”, ha afirmado la alcaldesa Rita Barberá, visiblemente impactada por la monumentalidad de la Falla Municipal que estos días se ultima en el taller del artista Manuel García.

Acompañada por las falleras mayores de Valencia Estefanía López y María Donderis, por el concejal de Fiestas y Cultura Popular, Francisco Lledó y una nutrida representación de la corporación Municipal, tanto del Equipo de Gobierno como del Grupo Socialista, la alcaldesa Rita Barberá ha visitado el taller de Manuel García –o más bien los dos talleres, dado el gran tamaño  de la Falla Municipal 2015-, donde se ha realizado un monumento que tiene por lema “La fuerza” y como pieza fundamental un león que representa la fuerza de la democracia.

El artista Manuel García ha explicado que la falla de este año tiene 22 metros de altura, dos más que el año pasado, y dobla el volumen del Moisés. “La fuerza” está realizada conjugando el cartón piedra tradicional con la técnica de vareta, “que es lo que yo sé hacer y lo que más me gusta, según ha informado Manuel García.

La alcaldesa, por su parte, ha insistido en la potencia monumental de una falla, “que sin duda va a dejar muy impresionado a todo el que la contemple”. La fuerza tiene la altura equivalente a un edificio de siete pisos e incluye seis diferentes escenas  en torno a ideas como la fuerza de la democracia, de la solidaridad, del futuro o de la inteligencia, además de un carro de los utilizados en el tiro y arrastre que ha llamado la atención a la alcaldesa Rita Barberá “como símbolo de la fuerza que debemos hacer los valencianos para llevar Valencia adelante”.

Ha respondido Rita Barberá a varias preguntas que le han formulado los medios de comunicación, la primera de ellas en relación a las manifestaciones de representantes del Gremio de Artistas Falleros sobre falta de ayudas. Ha contestado afirmando que ella ha sido la alcaldesa que más ha ayudado a este gremio, al que incluso reconoció la ciudad con el máximo galardón que es la Medalla de Oro y cuya consideración profesional ha promovida a través del impulso a la creación de un título académico. Ha enumerado la alcaldesa algunas de las iniciativas de su gobierno en relación con las Fallas, desde las ayudas a las comisiones o al alumbrado, hasta la bajada del IVA del 21 al 10 por ciento. “Ningún gobierno ha ayudado tanto al mundo de las fallas en la historia de Valencia”.

 

Respecto a la posibilidad, tras las últimas decisiones judiciales, de que pueda haber toldo en la plaza de la Virgen coincidiendo con la ofrenda, la alcaldesa ha señalado que “ahora es un problema de ajustes técnicos y de tiempo que podamos instalarlo”.

 

En cuanto a la perspectiva  de que Valencia acoja  este año la final de la Copa del Rey de Futbol, que van a disputar nuevamente el Barcelona y el Atlético de Bilbao, ha afirmado que “nosotros lo hemos pedido porque es bueno para Valencia, para esta ciudad que ha hecho una apuesta clara por el deporte y por el fútbol”. Al igual que el concejal de Deportes Cristóbal Grau, que también ha participado en la visita a los talleres falleros, la alcaldesa ha resaltado los beneficiosos efectos económicos, ya demostrados en nuestra ciudad, de acoger una final de la Copa del Rey que trae hasta Valencia a miles de seguidores de los equipos que la disputan.

 

Por último, señalar que el artista fallero Manuel García le ha planteado a la alcaldesa Rita Barberá la posibilidad de que la falla Municipal “La fuerza” pueda ser visitada como ocurre con otros monumentos , especialmente de la Sección Especial, ya que en su opinión se dan las condiciones técnicas necesarias. Rita Barberá le ha contestado que es un asunto que debe ser estudiado.

 

Anteriormente las Falleras Mayores, sus Cortes de Honor y el resto de la comitiva han visitado el taller de José Latorre y Gabriel Sanz, donde se confeccionan cinco monumentos falleros, entre ellos el de la falla Na Jordana, de categoría especial, diseñada por Carles Corredera y cuyo lema es “Altres formes de vida, altres formes de ser”.

 

También han visitado el taller de Manuel Algarra, donde se ultiman los trabajos de la falla de categoría especial Almirante Cadarso-Conde Altea, dedicada al mundo de la cocina y cuyo lema es “Bon apetit”.
