A la ya reiterada y no por ello perjudicial retirada de los policías de barrio desde el inicio de las “Mascletaes” el 1 de Marzo, desplazándolos al centro y dando cobertura a las fallas de la sección especial de su zona o calles iluminadas y su consecuente abandono de los barrios periféricos durante todo ese tiempo. Se ha unido la lógica demanda para cubrir los servicios del centro de la ciudad durante los días grandes de la fiesta.
Las zonas de fuego, carpas y fallas con la retirada de vehículos, las entregas de premios en la plazas con incesantes cortes de tráfico en las principales arterias al acceder a la plaza del Ayuntamiento, las ofrendas, los castillos, las concentraciones de personas en las principales fallas ganadoras y en las calles iluminadas, conllevan la demanda de personal imposible de cubrir con la plantilla actual.
A esto hay que añadir la falta de plantilla estructural desde hace varios años (2009 fue la ultima promoción) y que desde ese tiempo el incesante goteo de personal que accede a funciones no operativas en la calle por pasar a actividades de apoyo (2ª actividad) en un numero cercano a 60 por año lo cual agrava la situación. Unido todo ello a la falta de vehículos, chalecos suficientes o emisoras necesarias para todo el servicio extraordinario que se habilita estos días.
Si bien este año por cuestiones de calendario ha hecho que se concentrara todo en el viernes 18 y sábado 19, reduciéndose la cantidad de personas en los días anteriores al ser laborables y afectando a turistas nacionales, lo que unido a la climatología a reducido de forma considerable la afluencia de personas en las calles.
De no ser por lo anterior la seguridad e integridad ciudadana se hubiera puesto en entredicho, la falta de personal para cubrir los cruces de afluencia masiva en Plaza España, Pechina, Gran vía Germanías, Marques del Turia, etc. Con riesgos de atropellos, colapso del tráfico en los pasos de peatones, botellón, descontrol de puestos ilegales de venta callejera de todo tipo (bebidas, alimentos…) sin ningún tipo de control sanitario, licencias, permisos, ha sido la tónica general.
De hecho el SPPLB lleva varios años haciendo propuestas para mejorar dicha atención y poder dar un servicio en condiciones aceptables de seguridad e integridad para ciudadanía y agentes, sin que hasta ahora se hayan aceptado dichas propuestas.
Lo malo será próximo año y siguientes que el 19 caerá en domingo, lunes y martes en los años sucesivos, incrementando de forma exponencial los turistas y asistentes a los actos centrales de la fiesta y proporcionalmente los que aprovecharán para hacer negocio, legal y por supuesto si no lo impedimos ilegal.
Desde el SPPLB esperamos que al igual que los artistas falleros, el Ayuntamiento se ponga a trabajar de cara a las próximas fallas y esperemos que como por desgracia ocurre a veces, el año que viene no nos quedemos a mitad de la “plantá”.
