El artista fallero Xavier Herrero firmó esta semana el contrato para realizar el monumento a la histórica falla Federico Mistral – Murta de Valencia, una de las comisiones con más historia de la ciudad.
Tras dos años en la sección Especial de Junta Central Fallera de Valencia, el nuevo equipo ha decidido descartar competir con los mejores para volver a la senda de los éxitos que ha marcado su reciente historia.
De hecho, La Murta contaba con el privilegio de ser, después de Na Jordana y El Pilar, la comisión que más años seguidos llevaba cosechando premios: 40 años de éxitos consecutivos.
Ahora, la nueva directiva, encabezada por José Francisco Serrano, apuesta por Xavier Herrero para recuperar la ilusión en una sección modesta que le permita volver a ser un referente de las Fallas de Valencia.
«En esta plaza han pasado algunos de los mejores artistas de nuestra falla y es un honor ser el responsable de devolver a La Murta al lugar que le corresponde en la historia de las Fallas», explicó Herrero.
«Vamos a tratar de dar una alegría a sus integrantes con un trabajo sincero y repleto de ilusión que les permita sumar un nuevo galardón a su dilatada historia», concluyó el artista de Xàtiva.
