Dels records fallers d’un any solament queda el llibret. Tot es crema, llevat del testimoniatge gràfic i literari que ha evolucionat al llarg dels anys. Torrent en estes Falles del 2014 sobrepassarà la barrera dels 1.000 llibrets editats per les comissions falleres de la ciutat al llarg de quasi un segle d’història, per axiò del 4 al 14 de març, l’EMAT acull una mostra representativa d’este gènere, que es muntarà al costat de l’Exposició del Ninot.
En esta mostra es podrà veure el primer llibret de la capital de l’Horta Sud, datat en el 1928, el del carrer de Cambrils (actual carrer de la Mare de Déu de l’Olivar). Però a més es podran contemplar altres joies literàries, com els primers llibrets de la falla de la Plaça, de l’Avinguda, o de Ramón y Cajal en la dècada dels 40 i 50. Es tracta de la coneguda com a primera època de les falles de la ciutat i d’entre les pàgines d’estos documents destaquen la idiosincràsia pròpia de la festa en aquell moment, així com els problemes diaris dels torrentins que es reflectien en el monument: dosi de crítica, poesia i humor que ens mostra una altra cara de la cultural popular torrentina.
Una altra de les joies que recull l’exposició és la mostra original del primer llibret infantil de 1944, també del carrer de Cambrils. Es tracta d’un tríptic de 140 x 73 mm, on s’arreplega l’explicació del monument infantil referit. Un lloc destacat i especial el protagonitza la revista fallera El granerer (nascuda en 1973) editada per la Junta Local Fallera i que ara per ara contínua sent el llibre oficial faller de les 29 comissions de la ciutat.
En total, més 400 llibrets originals exposats en 20 vitrines i un recorregut històric en 18 panells informatius mostraran a curiosos i visitants els primers esbossos, fotografies i documents de la història de les falles de Torrent. L’exposició arreplega 85 anys d’història, gràcies a l’esforç de la Delegació d’Arxius i Biblioteca de l’Ajuntament de Torrent, que ha treballat de forma conjunta amb la Junta Local Fallera per a completar el catàleg de llibrets de falla que ja va editar el consistori l’any 2001. La mostra té com a comissaris l’arxiver municipal, Jose Ramón Sanchís i l’investigador local, Salvador Ciscar.
Exposició del Ninot: només se’n salvaran dos
Per segon any, esta mostra es complementa amb l’Exposició del Ninot de 2014. Un total de 58 ninots (29 infantils i 29 adults) serviran d’avançament de la festa fallera. Només n’hi ha dos que es salvaran del foc. Així doncs, el recorregut històric dels llibrets de falla acaba amb una mostra representativa del que són les falles actuals, ja que la mostra acull esta pinzellada d’allò que els torrentins veuran plantat en els carrers a partir del pròxim 15 de març.
