La falla Nou Campanar renuncia a plantar en sección Especial para las Fallas del año 2016. Después de 12 años en lo más alto, el presidente de la comisión, Antonio Platero, se lo trasladó oficialmente este lunes por la noche a la Federación de Fallas de Especial. Desde la marcha de Juan Armiñana hace algo más de un año, la comisión ha experimentado un descenso notable de falleros y de ingresos, que hace imposible mantener el nivel que exige la máxima categoría. El presidente no pudo confirmar si estarán en Primera A o incluso en una categoría inferior, pero sí trasladó la seguridad de que plantarán falla pese a los rumores que hablan de que incluso podrían quedarse sin monumento por el bajo presupuesto.
El ejercicio anterior aún pudo recurrir a la fórmula de apostar por una falla experimental que, aunque acabó en el suelo por culpa del aire, le permitió ganar el primer premio en dicha modalidad. En cualquier caso, la situación actual les obliga a tener que dejar Especial doce años después.
Nou Campanar se convirtió en la falla de moda de la noche a la mañana. Un año después de su creación en las fallas del año 2004, pasó a formar parte de sección Especial y desde entonces han logrado siete históricos premios que les han situado en lo más alto del mundo fallero.
