La Agrupación de Fallas La Seu-Xerea-El Mercat ha organizado la undécima edición del tradicional Concurso de Tiro y Arrastre “Ciudad de Valencia”. Durante los días 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, y 27 de septiembre, tendrán lugar diferentes exhibiciones y actividades para disfrute de los aficionados a este tradicional deporte valenciano. Sin duda, una competición que se ha consolidado entre el público valenciano y los aficionados al tiro y arrastre en la Comunidad Valenciana.
El acto inaugural, que ha contado con la presencia de las Falleras Mayores de Valencia, Estefanía López y María Donderis, acompañadas de la Corte de Honor mayor, y que se ha celebrado en la explanada del Tramo IX del Río Turia junto a la carpa de la Feria del Marisco que organiza MarisGalicia S.L., principal colaborador del XI Concurso de Tiro y Arrastre “Ciudad de Valencia”. “La convivencia de ambas actividades, consolida este punto de encuentro entre las sociedades valenciana y gallega”, afirma Amparo Chova, Presidenta de la Agrupación de Fallas La Seu-Xerea-El Mercat.
La competición se dividirá en 18 pruebas donde los participantes optarán a diferentes premios dotados de aportación económica. Amparo Chova ha agradecido “el gran trabajo realizado por nuestros falleros en colaboración con la Federació de Tir i Arrastre de la Comunitat Valenciana, para que todo sea un éxito”.
