Un evento indispensable para los amantes de las Fallas, va a tener lugar el próximo lunes, día 4 de marzo, en el IVAC-Filmoteca Valenciana. Se trata del estreno del documental ‘Fallas 37. El Arte en Guerra‘, dirigido por el cineasta Óscar Martín, una obra cinematográfica sin igual que narra las especiales circunstancias que vivieron las Fallas durante la Guerra Civil Española y la posguerra.
El documental hace un repaso por los monumentos que fueron utilizados como medio de propaganda por ambos bandos. Artistas reconocidos, como Miguel Santaeulalia, y expertos en la materia como Manolo Sanchis, Gil-Manuel Hernández, Vicent Borrego, Ricard Camil o Linda Panea, prestan su testimonio en el cortometraje, que cuenta con la participación de Radio Televisión Valenciana y el apoyo de IVAC – Generalitat Valenciana y la Universitat Jaume I.
El documental, producido por la valenciana Xerea Films, cuenta con la participación del mítico actor José Sacristán que presta su inconfundible voz, entre otros muchos atractivos que hacen de la pieza una joya cinematográfica. La presentación se hará en la sala Luis García Berlanga, a partir de las 20:00 horas.
Junto a ‘Fallas 37’ se incluye la proyección de ‘Valencia celebra sus fiestas de las Fallas’ y una selección de imágenes falleras realizadas por aficionados. También se presenta la campaña para la recuperación del patrimonio audiovisual ‘Imágenes indultadas’. El acto está presentado por Nuria Cidoncha.
Al día siguiente, el 5 de marzo en los Cines Lys de Valencia, el cortometraje se proyectará en un pase especial. Este acto está organizado por las revistas Cendra y Actualidad Fallera. Hernan Mir, codirector de Cendra, presenta el acto en el que estará presente el director de la película Óscar Martín. ‘Fallas 37’ se estrenará coincidiendo con la semana fallera en salas de cine de todo el país.
El último proyecto de Óscar Martín fue ‘Celuloide colectivo’, un largometraje que se exhibió con «gran éxito» en numerosos festivales internacionales (Cinemaspain Tolouse, la Seminci de Valladolid, Mostra de Valencia, Lima, etcétera) y en las Filmoteca Española, la Filmoteca del IVAC y Filmoteca de Catalunya.
